CLICK IF YOU LIVE IN A CAVE
this issue is so blatantly INSANE and ridiculous,
that i can't believe i'm doing it service
by being publicized on this board...
however, i'm just so sick of this bullshit,
that i have to get it off my chest....
tg and i talked about this issue in particular
on sunday... and as i can not remember what
words were his and which were mine...
i'm just gonna spill and clean up later.
when will the christians see that its not
a deliberate attack on their bullshit beliefs
but rather, its an attack in the face of
non-christians???
leave the monument....
remove the monument....
i personally don't give a shit.
if the monument stays -- i think that every
neighboring religious cult should erect a
large monument depicting their beliefs as well.
then what?
suddenly its no longer a *judicial building*
but a showcase for more religious war.
they will all be removed.
OR...
remove the fucker.
either way... it should be removed.... in time.
i don't necessarily care if the monument is
there... but i find the implications of such
a monument (and the idea that others will
not be tolerated) a bit prudish and crude.
i'm not speaking up for diversity... but
rather for hypocrisy... as its so friggin
blatant. i'm sick of these backwoods, southern
mofos not keeping pace with what is being
preached.
if its a monument to articles of judgement
and order... then so should a statue of
anubis or ma'at be erected...
this petty battle is so irritatingly stupid...
it doesn't even deserve mention....
but you know me.....

Ehm, state misses the god to prove that they are right, so state uses simple arguments we can all understand : Violence.
come come.... surely you don't believe what you said
are the rest of you scared to post your gd thoughts because you are afraid to disagree with shatzy?
someone grow some balls and post!
If you bother to read them, it's obvious the 10 commandments form no basis whatsoever for our legal system, therefore they have no place in a courthouse especially in a land where our constitution requires that Government provide no preference for one religion over another. Duh.
That's a given.
What I believe Alison is saying is that those that want the Ten Commandments to stay would also bitch if equal space was given to other less popular (in the usa) religions.
That's why she says she doesnt care about whether the commandments go or stay...she is only trying to point out the hypocrisy.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Shatz...

Let's hear some opinions on this.
I know some of you must think that it should go/stay.
Would you have a problem seeing the Muslim 10 Imperative Statments (or whatever their belief system calls for) out in a public place right along side the 10 Commandments?
No, those monuments would imply that there is a specific focus for those religious systems at a place where they shouldn't be. In my humble opinion, state and religion should stay apart as far as they can.
